This Holiday 2012 sees Converse team up with Streetwear giants, Stussy to collaborate on the Converse CVO LS Mid in 2 colourways. Each colourway features rough suede uppers, off white vulcanised outsole and tonal leather overlays. Classic Stussy branding is featured on the heel. The Converse x Stussy CVO LS Mid will be available at Wellgosh towards the back end of November 2012. Check out the rest of the images and colourways after the jump.
Fat Joe and fellow Terror Squad member, Macho are shown some love from Jordan Brand with their very own Terror Squad Nike Air Jordan IV. The Nike Air Base II is a special shoe for many retro running sneakerheads. Asylum Sneaker can confirm that for Spring 2012, Nike will be releasing 3 colourways in the Nike Air Base II that will bet the Nike ‘Vintage’ treatment including one OG colourway and 3 colourways will be available without the vintage effect. The images shown here on Asylum Sneaker are of the Vintaged versions. The Nike Air Base II name check seems to be missing on the 2012 Retro but none the less, these will be wetting the appetite for many of you. Re-Issues of the Pegasus, Tailwind and Air Flow have all had great responses, will the Nike Air Base II follow in their footsteps?
Reebok doesn’t often get a mention here on Asylum Sneaker but today we couldn’t be more excited about the brand. This Fall/Winter will see Allen Iverson’s Question and Answer Sneakers get a well deserved Retro release. Although the US have already had the release of the Reebok Answer in the OG Pearlised Red/ White colourway, this June, the Euro Sneakerheads will get the chance to pick up a pair. Reebok will be releasing the Question and Answer Retro’s on important dates from Allen Iverson’s career.
26th June – Iverson was selected overall 1st in the 1996 Draft Pick – Reebok will release a Rookie Colourway of the Reebok Question
1st November – Start of the NBA Season – Reebok will release the Reebok Answer Retro
12th March – Against the Chicago Bulls, Iverson ‘Crossed’ Michael Jordan twice in one play – Reebok will celebrate the Teams Iverson played for with team colourways in the Reebok Question

May 2012 saw the re-release of the Nike Air Woven as a Quickstrike release in my my eyes, in some pretty amazing colourways. Nike Summer 12 Collection also saw the re-release of the Nike Mayfly in the OG and 2 premium NSW colourways. Nike Sportswear now seem to be combing both concepts with the Nike Mayfly Woven TZ. The Nike Mayfly was conceived as an ultra lightweight runner resulting in a relatively short term investment, designed to last the distance of a Marathon. Although the Nike Mayfly Woven isn’t built to last, there’s no denying that this simple silhouette will be on many peoples wanted list. What do you think?
