The Nike Air Max ‘Home Turf’ Quickstrike Collection has caused quite a stir as of late, particularly the Nike Air Max 1 ‘Milan’. Nike Running silhouettes, most notably the Nike Air Max 1 and Max 90 styles have always been a popular choice of Footwear withing Europe. This March, Nike pay tribute to 3 key Cities, London, Paris and Milan with the launch of the ‘Home Turf’ Pack. Premium make ups are featured on a total of 12 silhouettes. London’s Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse, Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, Nike Air Max 1 2013 and the Nike Air Max 95 conveys the contrast between modernity and traditions whilst the Milan Pack is all about the luxe life and premium craftsmanship as featured on the Air Max 97 2013, the Air Max 1, Air Max 97 and Air Max 90. The Nike Air Max 1 is renowned to be the best Sneaker silhouette of all time and with the recent boost in popularity, Nike will be releasing a Vintage version of the OG White/Red colourway for Spring 2013. The silhouette of previous AM1 releases a year or two ago had the world up in arms but from the looks of the Spring 13 Sample, the shape and materials look on point.
There’s no denying that the Nike Air Max 1 has made some pretty big moves over the past couple of years. Nike continue to work up new colourways of the the timeless classic and this Holiday 12 will see a colourway that resembles the 2003 Atmos ‘Viotech’ Collaboration. The Nike Air Max 1 Black/Wolf Grey/Rave Pink 319986-060 is in actual fact a womens colourway but will no doubt put any of the Male Sneakerheads out there off.
The Nike Air Max 1 seems to grow in popularity on a daily basis, even the updated Hyperfuse makeups don’t hang around. With the steep increase in price of the the Jordan Brand Retro releases, will this have an effect on what the consumer buys? Maybe a classic Running silhouette is a much better option at nearly half the price? It seems that the Nike Air Max 1 will continue to roll out into 2013 making some pretty strong statements along the way. We’ve seen the Nike Air Max Light get the Vintage treatment as a Quickstrike release and Spring 13 will see the Nike Air Max 1 get the same treatment as part of the mainline collection. It’s hard to tell but it seems as if the shape is pretty much bang on unlike the production of the Air Max 1 a couple of years ago. Worn effect suede overlays look of a good quality and the midsole isn’t over vintaged like the Air Max Light. Keep an eye on Asylum Sneaker for more Nike Air Max 1 Vintage Spring 2013.
Nike continue to reinvent the classic Nike Air Max 1 silhouette for Spring 13 with the introduction of the Engineered Mesh technology. Images of the Nike Air Max 1 Engineered Mesh White/Red have already done the rounds on the internet and now this Maroon/Burgundy colourway is due to join it. Is the Nike Engineered Mesh Nike’s GR equivalent of the Fly Knit technology? Keep an eye on Asylum Sneaker for more info.
A few weeks ago, Asylum Sneaker previewed some catalogue images of the new Nike Air Max 1 colourways for Spring 2012. We can now show you a more detailed image of the Nike Air Max 1 Orange/Hazelnut colourway. This latest picture shows that Nike have updated to production version with a suede mudguard panel with a ‘Safari’ inspired pattern featured just on the one panel. The Nike Air Max 1 has had somewhat of a boost in popularity over the past year or so and I’m predicting that this Nike Air Max 1 Pack will go down in the same way. Classic colourway and colour blocking keep this Nike Air Max 1 clean and uncomplicated. The Nike Air Max 1 Orange /Hazelnut 308866-204 is due to drop at select Nike Accounts on 20th March 2012 including Wellgosh.
