On September 13, the 8th Belt and Road Forum, co-sponsored by the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was grandly opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The forum attracted more than 90 government officials from countries and regions that jointly built the "Belt and Road" and nearly 6,000 guests from international organizations, trade associations, and enterprises. At the opening ceremony, Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Vice Premier of the State Council, delivered a keynote speech by video, and Li Jiachao, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivered an opening speech.
The first Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Development Business Conference opened in Macau on the 14th. More than 1,000 representatives from government agencies and industrial and commercial circles at home and abroad attended the conference to discuss opportunities for in-depth participation in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area platform construction and promote win-win cooperation.
Zhu Guangxia, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of MCC and China MCC and Vice President of China MCC, was invited to attend the above activities.
During his stay in Hong Kong and Macao, Zhu Guangxia went to the site of the project under construction to investigate and guide the work. On the afternoon of the 13th, Zhu Guangxia met with Chen Haifan, Consultant of the Office of Chief Executive of Macao SAR and Director of the Public Assets Supervision and Planning Office, and the two sides had an in-depth exchange on further strengthening cooperation.
